Fire Terminologies for Building Professionals

Fire Terminologies for Building Professionals is a pocket reference for building practitioners, equipping readers with general knowledge on fire safety terminologies that may assist with the consistency and quality of communication with other construction professionals. For readers’ convenience, there are four sections on passive fire protection, active fire protection, materials reaction, and building fire resistance. The authors describe the terminologies in plain English and provide relevant illustrations where possible. In each category, the terminologies are presented in alphabetical order, with no more than 10 terminologies per category.
